Jean M. Petit Frere

Jean M. Petit Frere, 81, of Brockton, passed away after a brief illness on March 3, 2020. Born in Thomazeau, Haiti, he was the son of the late Achilus Petit Frere and Sylvia Augustin. Jean was a skilled carpenter and enjoyed spending time with his family. Jean was the beloved father of Maccin Petit Frere and his wife Linda, Sylia Petit Frere and her husband Robertson Galette, Jardine Petit Frere and her husband Claudy Hilaire, Paulsaint Petit Frere and his wife Stephanie J. Petit Frere, and Carmelite Petit Frere; loving grandfather of Marvin Petit Frere, Juvan Petit Frere, Samarah Galette, Gahelle Galette, Stephania Petit Frere, Lisa Polynice, and Brian Polynice; dear brother of Clermentine Petit Frere, Lamercie Petit Frere, Louisena Petit Frere, Imaculee Petit Frere, and Anne Marie Petit Frere; uncle of Edner Petit Frere, Yvon Petit Frere, Eunide Petit Frere, Semira Estime, Guilbert Estime, Smith Estime, Roselene Estime, Juolette Joly, Dunor Joly, Julna Joly, Berlene Philemond, Luck Philemond, Terlette Philemond, Kerlyne Petit Frere, Jean Petit Frere, Ermitha Petit Frere, Herlin Petit Frere, Voltaire Petit Frere, Daniel Petit Frere, Bertha Petit Frere, Guto Petit Frere, Marjorie Estime, Molene Estime, and Bathlyne Alvarez. All are welcome to his funeral Mass on Tuesday, March 10th at 10 a.m. in St. Angela Merici Church, 1540 Blue Hill Avenue, Boston, with visitation in the church beginning at 8 a.m. Burial will take place in his hometown in Haiti. Refreshments to follow Jean’s funeral Mass in the church hall.
