Janina Cepkauskas 95, a native of Lithuania and living in Brockton, passed away on July 21, 2023. She was employed in the local garment manufacturing industry. She was a parishioner and choir member of St. Casimir Church as well as a member of the Sandara Club. Janina enjoyed gardening and caring for her family and home on Field Street. In her later years she enjoyed spending time with her ever growing family of grand and great-grandchildren.
Janina was predeceased by her husband Pranas “Frank” Cepkauskas and daughter Danute Cepkauskas. She was the beloved mother of Vida Veitas and her husband Rimas of Osterville, Vytautas Cepkauskas and his wife Vita of Wrentham, and Joseph Cepkauskas of Brockton; loving grandmother of Matas Veitas and his wife Margaret, Ruta Johnson and her husband Tillman, Lukas and Krista Cepkauskas, and Darrell Sanders and his fiancee Taylor Hulett and Frank Sanders; great-grandmother of Tillman and Merrick Johnson, Luna Veitas, and Cameron Sanders.
All are welcome to a calling hour Friday, July 28th from 9 -10 a.m. at Waitt Funeral Home 850 North Main Street Brockton and her funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael’s Church 87 North Main Street Avon. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
