Janet M. (Flaherty) McDonald

Janet M. (Flaherty) McDonald, formerly of Avon, Massachusetts, residing in Raynham, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home on December 18, 2025. She was 65 years old. Born October 14, 1960, Janet was a graduate of Avon High School and later went on to obtain a degree from The Katherine Gibbs School of Boston. Janet worked at several corporations such as Stone and Webster in Boston and Jordan’s Furniture in Avon, doing administrative work. She later focused on the hospitality industry working at several area restaurants and establishments.
Janet leaves us with the memories of her love of cooking, gardening, entertaining her large group of family and friends pool side, and her love of all animals, specifically her dogs past and present, Min Pin, Ginger and recently Tasha.
Janet is survived by her brother Stephen Flaherty of Buzzards Bay Massachusetts and his partner Richard Medeiros of Fall River Massachusetts, Janet’s companion and good friend Kurt of Raynham, Janet’s ex-husband Walter McDonald and his brothers Joseph (Jean) and family of Bridgwater, Harold (Lisa) and family of East Bridgewater, John (Alison) and family of Randolph, sisters Anne and family of Wareham, Kathy (Scott) and family of Avon, Trisha (Mike) and family of Westwood, and Marybeth (Ed) and family of South Carolina, along with many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother Elaine (89) and father Richard (99), father and mother in-law ‘Bunny’ and Harold McDonald of Avon.
