Jan Z. “Yogi” Sabina, 75, of Brockton, passed away Jan. 6, 2024 after a brief illness. He was born in Lebork, Poland to Jan and Maria (Stolecka) Sabina on May 21, 1948. He served honorably in the U.S. Air Force in the Vietnam War. Jan worked for Armstrong World Industries in Braintree and Brooks Lumber in Avon prior to becoming a bus driver for Brockton Area Transportation (BAT). He was an active member of the Polish White Eagles.
Jan was the husband of the late Halina (Grzesik) Sabina; beloved father of Bozena Sabina and Darek Sabina; brother of the late Teresa Nachtman and Eugene Sabina; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews.
All are welcome to calling hours Wednesday January 10th from 4 to 7 p.m. and his funeral Thursday January 11th at 10 a.m. all at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton and burial at Calvary Cemetery.
