James F. Jones

James F. Jones, 75, of East Wareham, passed away peacefully at home on April 30, 2025. Born in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Alfred J. and Theresa F. (Walsh) Jones. Jim had a lengthy career in the trucking industry, working in shipping and receiving, first for Parker Trucking Co. and later retiring from Copeland Toyota. Jim was a devoted family man and enjoyed working around the house. A classic car enthusiast and lover of oldies music, Jim could often be found at car shows and concerts with his family and friends.

Jim was the beloved husband of Patricia A. (Ford) Jones for 28 years; father of James E. Jones, Lindsey Callahan, and the late Eric A. Ford; grandfather of Brayden, Kayleigh, Eryka, Makayla, and Matthew; brother of Alfred J. Jones Jr., Carolyn “Carol” Anderson, and the late Judy A. Thompson; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcome to calling hours on Friday, May 9th from 10-11:30 a.m., followed by a 11:30 a.m. funeral service at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton and burial at Melrose Cemetery, 88 North Pearl St., Brockton. Memorial gifts may be made to American Heart Association.
