Jake Donovan Bjork

   Jake Donovan Bjork, 29, of Brockton, passed away from this life on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 in a tragic car accident. Jake leaves his heartbroken mother Janet Bjork, father Jim Bjork and siblings Jacklyn Hill (and Mark), James and Julie Bjork (and Marc Sergi), niece Sophia Hill, and his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is predeceased by his loving grandmother Joanne Donovan and beloved cousin Erik Carlson.

   The person who was always there for his family and friends is Jake, no matter the occasion.  No one was beneath his time or attention, and his kindness knew no bounds. Jake loved to snowboard, play or learn any sport, research stocks, and just have fun.  A thinking, contemplative person, he surprised many with his knowledge on virtually any subject. And he would learn any other if they seemed intriguing.  After learning the skill of welding at Southeastern Vocational Technical High School, he became a proficient and dedicated fabricator for Roy Elevator Cabs and Entrances, Inc.

   Jake was a steady presence to his family, friends, and community, who will be missed profoundly. With a smile, be kind, listen, learn, try your best, and stay humble to keep his memory alive.  

   All are welcome to calling hours Wednesday, October 21st from 5-7 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Procession gathering on Saturday, October 24th at 10 a.m. at Waitt Funeral Home for a burial service at Village Cemetery, Weymouth. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to help cover funeral expenses.
