Jacqueline R. (Tiso) Cummings, 67, a lifelong resident of Brockton, passed away peacefully July 16, 2025 with family by her side. Born in Brockton, the daughter of the late Patrick and Dorothy (Murray) Tiso, she graduated from Brockton High School in 1975 then from Brockton Academy of Beauty Culture. Jacqui was a hairstylist through the years, working at various area salons including Capri Salon in Holbrook and at her home salon as well.
For a few years she was the Director of Cultural Affairs for the Mayor’s Office in Brockton under the Farwell administration.
Jacqui was dedicated to her family and home, was the go-to “neighborhood Mom” on Troy St., and enjoyed shopping, cooking, beach days, yearly trips to the Bahamas with family and friends, and spending time poolside. Her culinary delights are still asked-for recipes shared with anyone and everyone.
Jacqui was the beloved wife of Robert F. Cummings for 46 years, loving mother of Nicholas Cummings of Miami Beach, Florida, Adam Cummings (and Adara Hejduk) of Brockton, and Gina Casey (and her husband Patrick) of Brockton, adoring Mema of Adley Cummings, Cameron Casey and Cora Casey, sister of Michael Tiso of Brockton and the late Stephen Patrick Tiso, Christopher Tiso and Anthony Tiso, lifelong best friend of Laurie (Niccoli) Conley and an aunt and cousin of many. Jacqui will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
All are welcome to her memorial calling hours Thursday July 24th from 4 to 6:30 p.m. with a 6:30 p.m. memorial service at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton. Private committal.
