Jacqueline Samie (Barlatier) Decembre, 56, of Holbrook, passed away unexpectedly on October 6, 2023. She was a native of Saint-Louis-du-Nord, Haiti. Well-educated and hardworking, Jackie was employed as an endoscopy surgical technician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital for 17 years.

Known affectionately as Samie to her family, she was a dedicated wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She was selfless, often putting other’s needs before her own and was helpful to everyone. Jackie had a vibrant personality and was well loved. A creative spirit, she enjoyed sewing and interior design, having the skill to recreate anything she saw online from fashion to furniture. She also loved to travel, planning yearly trips with her family.

Jackie was the cherished daughter of Lucie (Jean Charles) Barlatier of Holbrook and the late Innocent Barlatier; beloved wife of Jean Leslie Decembre for 27 years; devoted mother of Lesly Junior Decembre and Nathan Jake Decembre, both of Holbrook; loving sister of Clermont Barlatier of Brockton, Marc Barlatier of Haiti, Adrienne Durosier Barlatier of Holbrook, Louis Barlatier of Randolph, Winifred Julien Barlatier of Brooklyn, NY, and Yolene Barlatier of Stoughton; and a dear aunt of many nieces and nephews.

All are welcome to her funeral service on Monday, October 23rd at 10 a.m. at Brockton Temple SDA Church, 235 Court St., Brockton, MA with viewing in the church beginning at 9 a.m. Burial to follow at Melrose Cemetery, 88 N. Pearl St., Brockton, MA. Live streaming of Jackie’s funeral will begin at 10 a.m.
