Jacqueline Constant, 74 years young, of Brockton, passed away suddenly on April 19, 2021. Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Destouches Rosesca Constant and Felicie Pierre-Louis.
Jackie worked as a certified nursing assistant at Brockton Hospital for over 26 years, where she made many lifelong friendships. Devoted to her faith, she was an active member of Christ the King Parish, where she established a sisterhood and close friendships with other parishioners, she also enjoyed nightly prayer. She was dedicated to her family and home, from large Sunday meals to relaxing in her garden, Jackie loved those moments shared with others. She had a natural green thumb and raised chickens in her yard, and even a turkey at one time!
Although Jackie lived in the United States, she always kept up with the current affairs in Haiti. Her light shined so brightly, and she meant the world to so many people. She genuinely cared for others and had an immeasurable bond with her sisters, they were all truly best friends. The love Jackie showered upon others will carry her legacy. Rest peacefully Jackie, you have labored so diligently.
Jacqueline was the devoted mother of the late Newton and Wilkenson Cadet, whom she missed deeply; loving grandmother of Tyler Cadet; beloved sister of Bernadette Pierre-Louis and her husband Fernand Joseph, Lutha Pierre-Louis, Marie-Rose Pierre-Louis, Ketly Constant, Dayouse Constant, and the late Immacula Pierre and her husband Joseph Pierre; cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews, including Steven Louis, John Fred Joseph, Jones "Woody" Pierre, Muriel Joseph, Wanie Pierre, Dominique Emmanuel, Alice Eaton, Jomie Pierre-Maule, Ichler Pierre-Louis, Felicia Pierre-Louis, Patrick Emmanuel, Muller Joseph, Felder Joseph, Emerson Joseph, Nicholson Constant, Nahomie Prophete, Chrislie Poinvil, Camille Poinvil, Katlan Constant, Chantal Simon, and their families; great-aunt of many, including Abigail, who was like a granddaughter to her, and Fienna.
