Jack M. Pearsull Jr.

Jack M. Pearsull Jr., 70, of East Bridgewater, passed away Jan. 12, 2026 after battling prostate cancer since 2010; he credits his longevity to being a realistic optimist. Born in New York City, the son of Jack and Mary (Urquart) Pearsull, he was raised on Long Island and graduated Eastern Military Academy high school there. After earning a bachelor in science degree in business administration at St. John's University in Queens Jack worked in loss control for Liberty Mutual and Hartford Insurance. He became an investigator for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and for various social service agencies. Jack was a police sergeant for the Town of Rochester from 1982-1984. Jack began a career in E.M.S., was on Brockton 911, West Bridgewater on-call firefighter paramedics, and was a paramedics instructor until November of 2025. His career was highlighted by his 24 years of service to the City of Boston, retiring on January 6, 2023 as the Superintendent of Boston E.M.S. Jack also enjoyed jazz music, going to the gym, and tenpin bowling. He was the beloved husband of Brenda (Love) Pearsull since Sept. 18, 1982, loving father of Romara Pearsull, Sgt. Suffolk County Sheriff's Office, dear brother of Timpella Pearsull Flagg & her husband Greg of Long Island and Trinette Pearsull Osborne & her husband Robert of New Bedford and an uncle of Gregory and Michael Flagg. All are welcome to calling hours Friday Jan. 16 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton and his service Sat. Jan. 17 at 10 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, 1367 Main St. Brockton and burial at Pine Hill Cemetery in West Bridgewater. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
