Irene A. (Moncy) Loverin, 82, a lifelong resident of Brockton, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Bernice J. (Baronas) and Peter Moncy and was a 1961 graduate of Brockton High School. Irene worked for SD Warren Paper Co. of Boston for 23 years, then for Raytheon in the Engineers and Constructors Division in Cambridge for 6 years, before retiring from the outpatient clinic of Catholic Charities after 10 years there.
Irene was the wife of the late Richard “Humphrey” Loverin; sister of Robert Moncy and his wife Beverly of Pittsfield, and the late Peter Moncy and his wife Kathleen of West Bridgewater; aunt of William Moncy of Pittsfield, Anne Marie Rego of California, and Denise Nelson of Bridgewater, and their families. She leaves close cousins Janet Swanson, Dr. Bill Moncevicz, Paul Moncevicz, and Joanne Moncevicz.
A private graveside service was held at Melrose Cemetery, 88 North Pearl St., Brockton, MA 02301.
