Hedwig "Heidi" (Ottensmeier) Bruemmel

Hedwig (Heidi) Bruemmel, 96, a resident of Brockton, Massachusetts since 1959, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2023. Born and raised in Germany, she was the daughter of the late Heinrich and Minna Grosse (Budde) Ottensmeier. Heidi worked for the former Goddard Memorial Hospital and had her own housekeeping business for many years.

Heidi was the widow of Max Bruemmel, mother of Martin Bruemmel and his fiancé Alison Frost of Dennis, Massachusetts and Michael and Deborah Bruemmel of Bridgewater, Massachusetts and grandmother to Michael and Nicholas. She was a resident of the German Centre for Extended Care in West Roxbury.

Per Heidi’s wishes, her funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association in her memory at http://www.alz.org.
