Gerald Brady Obituary

Gerald L. “Jerry” Brady, 81, of Brockton, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2021 with his wife and family by his side. He was the son of James and Florence (Lamoureaux) Brady. He was the beloved husband of his high school sweetheart and wife of 61 years, Marcia A. (Khoury) Brady. Survivors other than his devoted wife are his four daughters and sons in law, Elaine (Michael) Flaherty, Kristine (Kevin) Keogh, Cori (Robert) Foy, and Kerri (Christopher) O’Sullivan; and six grandchildren. Jerry is also survived by his sisters Constance Brady and Ann Kelly of West Yarmouth, his brother John Brady of New Port Richey, FL; and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his sisters Phyllis Maynard and Elaine Bierbauer and his brothers Joseph Brady and James F. Brady. 

A true Brocktonian, Jerry was born, raised and lived his life in Brockton. He was a 1958 graduate of Brockton High School and went on to honorably serve his country with the United States Army. Jerry was a firefighter with the City of Brockton for thirty-two years and retired in 2000. He was a member of the Brockton Firefighters Union, Local 144 and a member of the Brockton YMCA. He was a pilot and a member of the Brockton Flying Club. He enjoyed flying and traveling with his wife, golfing with his lifelong friends, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

All are welcome to walk-through calling hours Sunday, Feb. 7th from 1-4 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Face masks and social distancing required. Private family funeral and burial. Live streaming will be available. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
