George "Sonny" Bradshaw Jr.

George “Sonny” Bradshaw Jr., 81, of Brockton, passed away on February 24, 2024. Born in Williamsburg, South Carolina, he was the son of the late James and Margaret (Cooper) Bradshaw. Sonny was raised in Philadelphia, PA and planted his roots in Massachusetts in 1960. He was a hardworking family man, retiring from his career in construction at 77 years old.

George was the beloved husband of Carmen M. (Fernandes) Bradshaw for 62 years; loving father of Pamela Nieves (Louis) of Randolph, Ellie Bradshaw Harrison (Bobby) of Brockton, Tanya "Moon" Bradshaw (David) of Brockton, Jackie Bradshaw of Brockton, Josette "Jobabe" Bradshaw of Brockton, George "Boomie" Bradshaw III of Brockton, and the late Patricia and Stephanie Fernandes; brother-in-law of Jesse Dawkins and Abdul Fernandes; nephew of Aunt Ida and Uncle Luther, all from Philadelphia, PA; godfather of Larry Fernandes and Kent Johnson; cherished grandfather and great-grandfather of many; great-great grandfather of one; brother of the late William Bradshaw and Shirley Dawkins; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcome to calling hours Sat., March 9th from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., followed by a 12 p.m. service in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton. Cremation and private committal.
