George R. Voci, 85, a lifelong resident of Brockton, passed away on July 19, 2023. He was the son of the late George J. and Marguerite (Kerr) Voci. George worked as a crane operator for many years until his retirement, working for Grant in Boston and Allie in Walpole. An avid animal lover, especially horses, he participated in rodeos in his youth and showed horses during auctions. He adored his dog “Jax” and enjoyed long walks with him. George made friends everywhere he went and spent every Sunday with his brother Mike going out for breakfast and to the Raynham Flea Market. He was a football fan and loved attending his great-grandchildren’s sports games.
George was the husband of the late Colleen P. (Gordon) Voci; father of George R. Voci Jr. and his wife Cindy and stepfather of Michael DeMulis and Mark DeMulis, all of Brockton; grandfather of Joshua Voci of Brockton, Alicia Vye and her husband Charles “Buddy” of Norton, Danielle Coffman and her husband Matt of CO, Kyle DeMulis of Washington D.C., and Amber DeMulis of TX; great-grandfather “Triple G” of Jaycen, Guiliana, Nicholas, Vivian, and Crew; brother of Marguerita Hogan, Eleanor Porrino, Michael Voci, and the late Jeannette L. Ryan and Richard Voci; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be held. All are welcome to his celebration of life on Tues., July 25th at 1 p.m. at the Enterprise Club, 224 Clinton St., Brockton. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to NEER NORTH, 52 Ash St., West Newbury, MA 01985 (https://neernorth.org/).
