Francis Edward Williams, 90, a lifelong resident of Brockton, MA, passed away on February 3, 2023 at home surrounded by his family. Born to Loyed and Ilene (Smith) Williams on September 19, 1932 in Brockton, Frank attended Brockton schools, graduating in 1950 from Brockton High School.
Frank enlisted in the United States Air Force immediately following graduation. He proudly served his country while stationed in England, the Philippines, and Korea as well as bases in the U.S. Prior to his retirement after 21 years of service as a Master Sergeant, Frank spent the last 11 years of his service as a recruiter in the USAF offices in Boston and Brockton. He then began working for the City of Brockton and eventually began a 20 year career with the Brockton Fire Department as a Fire Alarm Operator.
Frank is survived by his wife of 61 years Elvira (Sahagun), whom he married on August 26, 1961 in Amarillo, Texas; two daughters, Janet Williams of Dickinson, ND and Christine and her husband David Seidler of Dickinson, ND; son, Retired Brockton Fire Chief Michael F. Williams and his wife Michelle of Brockton; and granddaughter, Amanda Williams of Brockton. Frank was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Rev. Robert A. Williams.

Main Street, Brockton, his funeral from Waitt Funeral Home Friday, February 10, 2023 at 9:30 a.m., and Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 87 N. Main St., Avon.
