Florence T. (Babicz) Mor, 93, of Brockton for the past 30 years, died peacefully at home on January 2, 2021. Born in Lawrence, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Anna Babicz. She started her adventures in life after marrying her husband George and traveling to Alaska where they homesteaded and raised 5 children. After 35 years, she moved to the South End of Boston where she worked for 30 years, until her retirement, as a telephone operator for the Boston City Hospital. Relocated to Brockton about 30 years ago where many fond memories were made with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They were all a big part of her life. Florence was an adventurer and enjoyed traveling, crocheting, and sewing. She was social and outgoing and loved dining out.
Florence was the wife of the late George H. Mor for 67 years; beloved mother of George E. Mor of Brockton, Joyce Mor of Weymouth, Jim Mor of Stoughton, Betty Mor of Brockton, and Susan Froio of Brockton; loving grandmother of Nicole Froio, Michael Froio and Michelle Silva, George A. Mor, Matthew Mor, Alex Frans, and Ashley Fortes Terry, Jennifer Stacy, James Mor, Brian Mor, and the late Daniel Mor. Great-grandmother of Lavanna, Noah, Ethan, Chloe, Hunter, Freyja Lillian, Jack, and Beverly; sister of the late Edna Chowenice and Leona Chowenice; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews.
All are welcome to calling hours Wednesday, January 13th from 9:30-11:30 a.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, her funeral Mass (limited occupancy) at 12 noon at Christ the King Parish, 54 Lyman St., Brockton and burial at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
