Florence A. (Williams) Cunningham, 80, of Brockton, passed away at home surrounded by her family on January 31, 2021. God Blesses us with so many of his great wonders, sometimes we overlook them and other times we cannot help but to marvel at them, she was a great wonder, a true living earth angel. Her life was dedicated to her Family with a love that was unconditional and never flawed. Judgment was never passed, and an unkind word never left her lips. She was the Family Matriarch and known by all those who loved her as Meme. Her life was marked by the wings she was born with and the new wings she gained as she continued her journey onto all those who passed on before her, she leaves behind a legacy of love, patience, kindness, generosity, forgiveness, and honesty and will be deeply missed by all.
Florence managed the laundry room at Hollywell Nursing Home in Randolph until retirement, where she was fondly known as “Mother Cunningham''. She loved birds, especially cardinals, and raised parakeets and doves. Florence was also a talented cross-stitcher and seamstress.
Florence was the wife of the late Ronald E. Cunningham Sr. She is survived by her six children Ann Kiernan, Ronald Cunningham Jr., Kathie Keith, John Cunningham, Ricky Cunningham, and Florence Cunningham; 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; her siblings Joanne Williams, Ralph Williams, and Ronald Williams; and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Aubrey Cunningham; and sister of the late Louis Crowell Jr., Charles Williams, Aubrey Williams Jr., Robert Williams, Shirley Williams, and Roy Graziano.
All are welcome to calling hours Friday., Feb. 5th from 10 a.m. – 12 noon, followed by 12 noon service (limited occupancy) in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton and burial at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Due to COVID regulations, social distancing and masks are required. Live streaming will be available.
