Feres Chevry, 87, of Brockton, passed away on March 18, 2023. Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, he was a son of the late Jules Chevry and Kincia Bedard. Feres was an educator in Haiti for many years and then worked at Quincy Hospital for over 20 years until his retirement. He was very intelligent. A life-long learner, he taught himself Spanish in his 50's and could converse fluently. He had a way with numbers, having the ability to solve any mathematical equation or problem. He also had a deep appreciation of music of all kinds, beginning with the music of his youth, Haitian Compas. Feres was a compassionate and loving member of his community, willing to help family, friends and strangers alike, without hesitation. He was a longtime member of the Central and West congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses, Plain Street in Brockton.
Feres was the beloved husband of Rolande (Boisrond) Chevry for 53 years; loving father of Nancy Chevry of Jamaica Plain, twins David Chevry of Brockton and Graham Chevry and his wife Stephanie of Duxbury; and a devoted grandfather of Mason and Emerson. Feres also leaves many additional family members and friends to mourn his passing.

Main St., Brockton, his funeral service Fri., March 24th at 10 a.m. at Waitt Funeral Home and burial in Melrose Cemetery, 88 N. Pearl St., Brockton. Live streaming of Feres’ wake will be available from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2023 and his funeral at 9:45 a.m. on Friday, March 24, 2023.
