Evelyn G. (McGregor) Savina

Evelyn G. (McGregor) Savina, 99, recently of Raynham, formerly of Brockton, passed away June 4, 2025 at her home with her devoted family surrounding her under hospice care. Born in Boston, the only child of the late Edith and Roy McGregor, she was raised in Randolph and graduated from Randolph High School and business school. She met and married Joseph Savina in 1946 and they began their life in Brockton. 

Evelyn and Joseph raised their family in Brockton and when all the children were in school she worked in clerical positions at Almy’s Department Store and People’s Savings Bank.

She enjoyed traveling with her husband and family, New Hampshire vacations, and time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She remained at the same house in Brockton until December of 2023 when Evelyn and her daughter Lynne moved to Raynham to be close to family.

Evelyn was the wife of Joseph for 61 years until his passing in 2007; beloved mother of Cheryl Johnson and her husband Larry, and Lynne Pecz, all of Raynham, and the late William Savina, Roy Savina and his late wife Kathleen, and the late Stephen Savina; loving grandmother of Lindsey Savina, Jared Savina and his wife Julie, Barrett Johnson and his wife Danielle, Brandt Johnson, Kristen Renneker and her husband Karl, the late Justin Pecz, Meghan Savina, Thomas Sanford and partner Sheila, Rebecca Sanford-Andrews and her husband Kevin Chamberlain; and the great-grandmother of 13. Though an only child, Evelyn also leaves many nieces and nephews of Joseph.

All are welcome to calling hours Tuesday June 10th from 9 to 11 a.m. and her funeral service at 11 a.m. all at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton then burial at Pleasant St. Cemetery in Raynham. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Hope Health Hospice.
