Eveline “Rose” (Toussaint) Dufour, 70, of Brockton, passed away on January 21, 2026. Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Lafortune Toussaint and Carmen Jeanty. Rose immigrated to the United States in 1988, creating a lasting legacy of kindness, joy, and love. Devoted to her faith, she was a communicant of the former Sacred Heart Church and later joined the Christ the King Parish community.
Rose enjoyed a quiet life and could often be found laughing with a beautiful smile on her face. She never passed judgement and treated everyone with respect. Family was most important to her, and she loved to sew, knit, and watch television. She will be sadly missed.
Rose was the beloved wife of Raoul Dufour for almost 41 years; cherished mother of Carine Dufour, Caroline Dufour, Julie Dufour, and Ralph Dufour and his wife Celisa, all of Brockton; loving grandmother of Bryon, Yani, Antonio “Jr”, Ralph Jr. “RJ”, and Caiden; dear sister of Mano Toussaint, Marie Ange Toussaint, and Serge Jeanty; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews.
All are welcome to her wake service on Thursday, January 29th from 6-8 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, her funeral from Waitt Funeral Home on Friday, January 30th at 9:30 a.m., funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Christ the King Parish, 54 Lyman St., Brockton and burial at Melrose Cemetery, 88 North Pearl St., Brockton.
