Evana Gregoire, 75, of Brockton, passed away on December 24, 2020. Born in Cayes, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Saül and Loresia (Payans) Gregoire. Evana was a longtime attendee of Temple Adventiste de Brockton. She was a people person, enjoying phone calls with family and friends and socializing at events. Evana was active and loved to walk, cook, listen to the radio, and watch basketball games. She was very stylish and enjoyed collecting hats and clothes. She will be deeply missed by her loving family. Evana was the beloved mother of Venette Darbouze and Laurene Gregoire, both of Brockton, and the late Simon Eserve, Rose Eserve, and Sebien Eserve; stepmother of Jean Lenord Darbouze, Jean Claude Louis, and Jullianie Julien; loving grandmother of Lenette Darbouze, Jean Christian Geneus, Steevens Gregoire, Evane Eserve, Peterson Eserve, Wendy Eserve, and Steevens Eserve; great-grandmother of Lorenzo Gregoire, Sodlens Nasanes, Bervaly Nasanes; sister of Marie Euronne Gregoire; sister in law of Abner Denis; and an aunt of Marie Michelle Jean, Renold Jean, Lourdia Jean, Tarah Jean, Boneil Latry, Vicot Latry, Jacques Gregoire, Adeline Gregoire, Madochée Gregoire, Robinson Gregoire, Kenold Julien, David Denis, Dayanne Denis, Daniel Denis, Emmanuel Duclossel, Astride Duclossel, and Jacinthe Duclossel.
All are welcome to her funeral service (with limited seating and COVID restrictions) on Monday, January 4, 2021 at 10 a.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, with visitation in the funeral home beginning at 9 a.m. Burial to follow at Melrose Cemetery. Live streaming of the funeral will be available. Face masks and social distancing required.
