Emilienne Heureuse Desronvil

Emilienne Heureuse Desronvil, 87, recently of Raleigh, North Carolina, formerly of Randolph and Mattapan, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2023. Born in Plaisance, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Lefranc Desronvil and Sylvina Lespinasse.

Emilienne worked as an LPN for many years in Haiti, providing nursing care oftentimes at her own home to local neighbors; lovingly known as "Mis", a reference to her nursing days. She immigrated to Boston at the age of 41 and secured a better life for her children.

Emilienne was deeply religious and had a strong faith. She was kind and generous, offering warm food and a safe place to stay to many different people throughout the years. Her outgoing personality led to many long-lasting friendships. She was full of life with a sharp wit. She enjoyed dancing, singing, word puzzles, watching movies, card games, and playing bingo.

Emilienne was the cherished mother of Kathia Desronvil of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Mirtha Desronvil of Stoughton; beloved grandmother of Lesly E. Azor and Mirlesna Azor-Sterlin; loving sister of Anne Fidelia Salomon, Levit Desronvil, and the late Marcel Desronvil, Saraï Valbrun, Veronique Obas, Adante Michel, Saül Desronvil, and Dominique Desronvil; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews. 

All are welcome to her funeral service on Thursday, November 9th at 10 a.m. at the First Haitian Church of Brockton “The Rock”, 940 Main St., Brockton, MA 02301 with viewing in the church beginning at 8 a.m. Burial to follow at Melrose Cemetery, 88 N. Pearl St., Brockton, MA 02301.
