Elizabeth F. (Perry) “Betsy” Zinkus, 73, of West Bridgewater, formerly of Whitman, passed away at home on March 14, 2023. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Herbert F. and Elizabeth B. (Chadbourne) Perry. Raised in Milton, she earned an associate degree from Dean College and worked in social services for many years until retiring from the state.
Betsy was a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution. An avid animal lover and equestrian, she was a proud owner of “Babe” the horse for 25 years. She always had pets in her home, most recently Milo, Meeka, and Gracie. She loved nature and enjoyed kayaking, sunbathing, photography, and reading.
Betsy was the beloved companion of Linda M. Calo for 18 years and her family Cherie Zaccaria (Michael), Shawn Calo (Lauren Hertzberg), and Jared and Juliana Abusheery.
Following cremation, all are welcome to memorial calling hours Monday, March 20th from 3-5 p.m. with a 5 p.m. memorial service in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts, 1300 W.
