Elaine L. (Lankiewicz) Pratt, 93 years young, of West Bridgewater, died peacefully on July 23, 2025, after a brief illness, with family by her side. Elaine was a native of Brockton where she was raised in the Montello area and graduated from Brockton High School in 1950. Elaine resided in the city until moving to Matfield Woods in 1984. Dedicated to her family, home, and faith, she was a communicant of the former Our Lady of Ostrobrama (St. Mary’s Polish) Church in Brockton, and then at The Church of St. Ann in West Bridgewater. Elaine, also fondly referred to as Grammie, took great pride in her family and her Polish heritage. Elaine’s greatest joys were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; she loved getting the family together, whenever possible, and cooking her Polish recipes for them. The Polish Picnic in Taunton was an annual family tradition where she would revel in the company of her family and friends, along with some of the best Polish food, Polka music and dancing. She also enjoyed her collectibles, such as her Madame Alexander dolls, Polish treasures, and anything that may have struck her fancy late night on QVC. Over the years she has taken great joy in gifting these keepsakes to her friends and loved ones.
She was the devoted wife of the late Richard L. Pratt, beloved mother of David M. Pratt (and Debra) of Bridgewater, Andrea E. Creedon (and Brian) of Brockton and Ted F. Pratt (and the late Krista) of West Bridgewater; loving Grammie of Matthew Creedon (and Katherine) of New Canaan CT, Andrew Pratt (and Jenna) of Somerset, Adam Creedon (and Kaitlin) of Norwell, Shauna Pratt Atkins (and Robert) of East Bridgewater, Seth Creedon (and Janis) of Dartmouth, Elizabeth Creedon Joyce (and Matthew) of Marshfield, Stephen Pratt of New York City, Jeffrey Pratt of Bellingham and the late Nicholas Pratt and Mark Creedon; great-grandmother of 17; aunt of Daneille and Valerie Berzinis and Paul, Brian and Jack Lankiewicz. She was the sister of the late John Lankiewicz and daughter of the late Bertha and John Lankiewicz.
All are welcome to her funeral Mass on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at The Church of St. Ann in West Bridgewater. The services begin at Noon. Cremation and private committal at Melrose Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Mark Richard Creedon Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o Cardinal Spellman High School, 738 Court St. Brockton MA 02302.
