Elaine Esmeralda (Craig) Duncan-Pixley, 82, of Brockton, was granted her angel wings on February 11, 2020. Elaine was born on October 21, 1937 in Wood Hall, Clarendon, Jamaica to Richard and Ivy (Johnson) Craig. She and her husband migrated to England in 1962, where she attended the Mansfield Beauty School for Cosmetology. After spending 8 years in England, she returned to May Pen, Jamaica, where she opened her beauty salon and had a very successful business.
She was an active member of Grace Baptist and Mandeville Baptist Church in Jamaica, and then she attended North Baptist Church in Brockton. Her interests included family, gardening, doing for others, and giving everyone a fancy hairstyle. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to her children, grandchildren, family members, including her brothers, sister, nieces and nephews.
Elaine was the beloved mother of Anthony Duncan of Kissimmee, FL and June Duncan Brown and her husband Winston of Brockton; loving grandmother of Calvin James, Alexander, Anthony II, Wayne and Danielle Duncan, and Kayla, Kristin and Emelio Brown; sister of Doreen, Neville, Marvin, Junior, Trevor, Anthony, and others who passed before her; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews.
All are welcome to visitation on Saturday, February 22nd from 9-10 a.m., followed by a 10 a.m. service in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton and burial at Melrose Cemetery.
