Edward F. Pateline

Edward F. Pateline, 86, of Kingston since 1997, formerly of Brockton all his life, passed away on May 31, 2024. Born in Brockton, the only son of Al and Agnes Pateline, he served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1956-1958. His career at FootJoy in Brockton spanned over 41 years. Ed enjoyed playing golf, bowling, playing softball, doing outdoor projects, family trips to Maine and annual visits to Aruba.

He was the beloved husband of Helen C. (Spillane) Pateline for almost 64 years; the loving father of Peter E. Pateline and his wife Karen of Kingston with whom they live and the late John Uburtis; adoring grandfather of Jason Pateline and his wife Amanda, Kevin Pateline and his wife Bruna, Janelle Pateline, Tammy Firth and her husband John and Derek Uburtis and his wife Julie; and doting great-grandfather of Landon & Kendall Pateline, Hunter Firth and Christian & Trevor Uburtis.

All are welcome to calling hours Tuesday June 4 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton, his funeral Wednesday June 5 at 9 a.m. from Waitt Funeral Home, funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Church, Avon and burial at Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
