Duverson “Père Luc” Lorange, 83, of Brockton, passed away on June 11, 2025. Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, son of the late Dieuné Lorange, he immigrated to the United States in 2010 making a home in Massachusetts. Duverson was a talented tailor and garment maker for many years until his retirement. His gentle and jovial nature was a blessing to all who knew him. Duverson was an avid walker and lover of music and enjoyed keeping up to date with current affairs, especially Haitian news.
Duverson was the husband of the late Anne-Marie Blanc; beloved father of Frantz Lorange of Florida, Carline Lorange Dorestan and her husband Wilfred of Brockton, Emmanuel Lorange of Haiti, and Natanael Lorange and his wife Junia of Brockton; devoted grandfather of nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Duverson leaves many additional family and friends to mourn his passing. His memory and love for his family will continue for generations to come.
All are welcome to his wake service on Thursday, June 26th from 6-8 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, his funeral service on Friday, June 27th at 10 a.m. at Brockton Temple Seventh-day Adventist Church, 235 Court St., Brockton, with viewing in the church beginning at 9 a.m. Burial to follow at Melrose Cemetery, 88 North Pearl St., Brockton. Live streaming of Duverson’s funeral will be available.
