Duane E. Baker, 88, of Brockton, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Ralph Pena and Bernice (Marrow) Baker. Duane attended Brockton Public Schools and graduated from Brockton High School in 1955. He served honorably in the U.S. Air Force.
Duane worked in construction for many years, retiring as foreman. After his retirement he worked for the Brockton Public Schools. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was a longtime member of the Polish White Eagles.
Duane was the beloved brother of Vivian A. Raney of Hampton, VA and the late Eugene Marrow, Harold Marrow, and Roger Marrow; and a dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Duane also leaves a host of cousins and friends to mourn his passing.
All are welcome to visitation on Wednesday, May 20th from 9-11 a.m., followed by an 11 a.m. funeral service at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Burial to follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Live streaming of Duane's funeral service will be available.
