Dr. Enrique Cole Lawrence

Dr. Enrique Cole Lawrence, 82, of Brockton, passed away on March 24, 2023. Born in Puerto Limón, Costa Rica, he was a son of the late Leopoldo Cole and Caroline (Swan Lawrence) Cole Lawrence. Dr. Enrique Cole Lawrence was a renowned professor for over 45 years at Roxbury Community College in Roxbury, Massachusetts. He was well-traveled, enjoying international trips with family and friends. Enrique especially liked vacationing in Cape Cod and Costa Rica. He enjoyed music, cooking delicious meals, and spending time with his daughter, grandchildren, and many friends.  

Enrique was the devoted husband of the late Veronica Teresa (Allen Recard) De Cole. He leaves two children Carolina Ivette Cole Allen and Hermer Ernesto Cole Allen; four grandchildren Brhyanna, Jheykeell, Jasmine, and Tryshten; two great-grandchildren Elijah and Amayah; and many nieces and nephews. Enrique was predeceased by his sibling Mary Cole Lawrence, Martha Cole Smith, Marva Cole Lawrence, Florencia Cole Lawrence, Jonathan Cole Lawrence, Ernesto Cole Lawrence, and Arturo Cole Lawrence.

All are welcome to calling hours Monday, April 10th from 5-8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, his funeral Mass Tuesday, April 11th at 10 a.m. in Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help "The Mission Church", 1545 Tremont St., Roxbury, Mass 02120, with viewing in the church from 9-10 a.m. Funeral services to be held in Puerto Limón, Costa Rica and burial in Montesacro, San José, Costa Rica.
