Dorothy A. (Willett) Godsoe, 61, of Brockton, passed away on May 20, 2024. Born and raised in Jamaica Plain, she was the daughter of the late Edward F. and Dorothy A. (Pucillo) Willett. Dottie was employed by the VA Healthcare System for 19 years. She worked as a cashier in the canteen services at the West Roxbury campus for the first 15 years before relocating to the Brockton campus working in the EMS department for the past 4 years.
Family meant everything to Dottie, and she loved making memories with them. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, bingo, casino trips, and attending live shows with family and friends. Dottie was the life of any party, and the world is a bit dimmer without her in it.
Dottie was the beloved wife of the late Robert D. Godsoe; loving mother of Shannon M. Godsoe Pierrelouis of Brockton and Kerrie A. Godsoe of Easton, and nephew A.J. Egli of Brockton, who was like a son to her; cherished grandmother of Ann T. Pierrelouis, Israel Godsoe, and Isaac Godsoe-Flores; dear sister of Theresa Willett, Deborah Jones, Dennis Willett, Noreen Carroll, Brenda O’Neill, and the late Edward Willett and Thomas Willett; and a special aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, all are welcome to memorial calling hours on Sat., May 25th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. followed by a 1 p.m. memorial service at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Live streaming of Dottie’s memorial service will begin at 12:45 p.m. In honor of Dottie’s memory please wear a shade of blue, which was her favorite color.
