Dorothy Ann Foulsham

Dorothy Ann “Dot” Foulsham, 89, of Avon, MA passed away peacefully on June 17, 2022. She was the devoted wife of the late Francis J. “Skip” Foulsham for over 60 years. Loving mother to the late Paul Foulsham of Florida, Susan Mulkhern of Avon, Joanie Barthe and her husband Shawn of South Yarmouth, Brian Foulsham and his partner Margie Morse of Randolph, and Rick Foulsham and his partner Nancy of Rhode Island. Grandmother to Keri Wilson of Brockton, Stephanie Piacente and her husband Michael of Bridgewater, Brooke and her husband Eddie Eaton of Bridgewater, Gunnar Barthe and his partner Gina of Easton and Erin Foulsham of Florida. Great Grandmother to Cody, Kyle, Julian, Ryan, Kennedy, Cashton and Knox and to her fur-baby Honey-girl.

Dot was born in Boston and raised in the neighborhood of Jamaica Plain with her six sisters: the late Joan, the late Jane and survived by Barbara, Virginia, Ellie and Marion. Dot met her soulmate Skip shortly after graduating high school. They married and moved to the suburbs of Avon, where they built a life together, raising five children.

Dot enjoyed the simple things in life like going out to dinner, taking scenic drives to New Hampshire, gardening or finding a great deal while out shopping. She also had a long and rewarding career as an office manager at an orthopedic surgeon’s office. Her life was truly devoted to her family and friends. She lived a happy, peaceful existence. She was kind and loving. She will be missed dearly by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and so many.

Visiting hours will be held in the Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main Street, Brockton, Thursday, June 23rd from 4-7pm. Her funeral will be from Waitt Funeral Home Friday, June 24th at 10:30 a.m. followed by her funeral Mass at 11:30am at St. Michael Church, Avon. Burial will be held at St. Michael Cemetery immediately following the Mass.
