Donna L. (Bergman) Riley

Donna L. (Bergman) Riley, 85, of Braintree, formerly of South Yarmouth and Easton, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2024. Born in Brockton, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Marion Bergman. Donna raised her family in Easton and resided in South Yarmouth for many years until moving to Braintree recently. She worked at the Stonehill College post office, at Stop and Shop in Stoughton and South Yarmouth, and for Jack Conway until retirement. Donna loved the beach, gardening, chair caning, baking, and activities at church. She was a former member of Easton Garden Club and Yarmouth Garden Club. She was the beloved mother of James Riley Jr., Karen Riley (and Darren Wilde) of Pocasset, Brian Riley (and his wife Nancy) of South Easton, Dawn Riley (and her fiance David Pollis) of Bridgewater, Lauren Riley of Cape Cod, Patrick Riley of Florida, Joshua Riley (and his wife Carolyn) of Plymouth, and the late Linda Riley; loving grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of 10; dear sister of Richard Bergman (and his wife Connie) of Middleboro, Sally Costello of Abington, and the late Bonnie Dennehy and John Bergman; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews. Following cremation, all are welcome to her memorial service Thursday, Feb. 22nd at 2 p.m. and her memorial calling hours 2:30 to 5 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton. Private committal. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, National M.S. Society or your favorite charity.
