Donald R. Rideout

Donald R. Rideout, 70, of Somerset, formerly of Raynham, passed away on May 25, 2026 surrounded by his family. A native of Brockton, he was the son of the late John M. and Margaret E. (Lambert) Rideout. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during peacetime. Don was retired from employment as a custodian for Brockton Public Schools. He enjoyed sports and trips to the beach. Don was the beloved husband of Kristine (Towne) Rideout, loving father of Laura Rideout and her husband Matthew Braley of Lakeville and Alicia Lahey and her husband Matthew Lahey of Middleboro, and the late Donald A. “Donnie” Rideout and his wife Amber Rideout of Brownsburg, Indiana, grandfather of Darrin, Braidyn, Jordan, Braxton, Paisley, Kellan, Peyton, Kingston and Scarlett, brother of Gerry Rideout and his life partner Diane Easton of Bridgewater, Kim Keller of Stoughton, and the late Ronald Rideout and John Rideout, his former wife Donna Rideout of Lakeville, his mother-in-law and soulmate Josephine Towne, nieces, nephews, and many friends. All are welcome to calling hours on Sunday, May 31st from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a 2 p.m. time of remembrance at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Cremation and private committal.
