Donald Harrison Pike, in his 90th year, a lifelong resident of Brockton, passed away Feb. 4, 2021. After graduation from Brockton High School he served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Don graduated from Stonehill College and later earned a Master’s Degree from Boston College. He was a respected Brockton Public Schools teacher and principal, demonstrated his lifelong commitment to education, and cofounded the Brockton Community Schools program. Don was a proud father and grandfather, a history buff and and a math whiz. He also enjoyed running, working out at area gyms, fishing and playing pool. Memories will endure from his many friendships made over the years, both from his professional and personal connections. Don was the beloved husband of Gloria (Conzatti) Pike since 1957; loving father of Nancy Ambroseno of Easton, Timothy Pike (and Margaret Valega) of MD, Susan Pike of Brockton, Kathy Barry (and Michael) of RI, Christopher Pike of Brockton, Amy Gianino (and Robert Grant) of Norwell, Marybeth Mackinaw (and Brian) of East Bridgewater, and Jonathan Pike (and Caitlin) of Easton; dear grandfather of Courtney, Melissa (and Joseph Gordon), Ryan, Alexander, William, Katherine, Alessandra, Nicholas, Giulianna, Molly, Olivia, Emily and Griffin; brother of the late Lawrence and Clayton Pike; and he also leaves beloved nieces and nephews. Walk-through calling hours will be on Thursday, Feb. 11 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. (Face masks, social distancing and occupancy limits per Covid protocol.) His funeral and committal are private.
