Donald E. Nye

Donald E. Nye, 71, a lifelong resident of Brockton, passed away May 12, 2026. A son of the late Everett and Catherine (Donovan) Nye, he graduated from Brockton High School. Donnie worked in construction for Union Local 721 and in the printing department at Massasoit Community College. He enjoyed sitting at area beaches and was an AA counselor.

Donnie was the brother of Patricia McGrath of Raynham (and the late Duane), and the late Linda Realini (and her husband Anthony of Bridgewater), James Nye, Robert Nye, Lawrence Nye, John "Jackie" Nye and Robert Nye, and he was the uncle of many nieces and nephews.

All are welcome to memorial calling hours Friday, May 29th from 9 to 11 a.m. and his funeral service at 11 a.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, followed by burial at Melrose Cemetery in Brockton.
