Donald E. Foster

Donald E. Foster, 89, of Brockton, passed away on February 27, 2023. Born in Boston and formerly residing in Fields Corner, Dorchester until 1964, he was the son of the late Alvin C. and Rita (Conley) Foster of Maine. Donald, also known as “Wacko Donzo”, boxed professionally in his youth, and then worked as a telephone company lineman until retiring, after retirement he spent his days repairing boats. Donald enjoyed deer and turkey hunting and was a lifelong member of the Avon Fish and Game Club. When he was not out hunting, he liked to visit the casinos and took pleasure in a good scratch ticket.

 Donald was the beloved husband of Barbara E. (Lathrop) Foster for 71 years; loving father of Elissa Brooks (and Arthur), Laurie LaBollita (and Tony), all of Brockton, Julie Foster (and Vasco) of R.I., and the late Susan Capalbo; dear grandfather of 10; great-grandfather of many; and brother of the late Richard Foster and Beverly Wasel.

 All are welcome to memorial calling hours Sunday, March 5th from 12-2 p.m. with a 2 p.m. prayer service in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton.
