Dominic F. “Danny” Vecchione, 96, of Brockton for most of his life, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025.
Native of New York City, he was raised in Braintree, a son of the late Frank and Dora (Richardi) Vecchione. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Danny was employed in construction then in shoe manufacturing for most of his life at Randy Shoe for 15 years and Baker Brothers for 23 years. After retirement he also worked part-time at Winwater in Easton until at least 2018.
Danny was the beloved husband of Jessie A. “Tootsie” (Richardi) Vecchione from 1954 until her passing in 2023; loving father of Jessie Vincent of Florida and her late husband Larry, Lisa Taglione and her husband James of Greenville, R.I., and the late Louis Vecchione; dear grandfather of Danielle Gillman and her husband Thomas of Florida, Louis Taglione of R.I., Thomas Taglione of R.I., and the late Anthony Chabot; great-grandfather of Timothy and Brandon Gillman; brother of Anthony Vecchione of Avon and the late Paul Vecchione and Vincent Vecchione; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews. All are welcome to calling hours Monday, Dec. 8th from 9-11 a.m. with an 11 a.m. funeral service in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton, and burial at Calvary Cemetery.
