Dieula Aurel

Dieula Aurel, 91, of Brockton, passed away on September 8, 2023. Born in Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Bodite and Zaman (Cimeus) Aurel. Dieula was dedicated to her family and home and was a talented seamstress.

Dieula was the beloved mother of Mielot Aurel of Haiti, Jean Aurel of Brockton, and Harry Jean-Baptiste and his wife Gilberte of Brockton; dear stepmother of Frantz Jean-Baptiste, Eric Jean-Baptiste, Gina Jean-Baptiste, and Nadine Jean-Baptiste; loving grandmother and great-grandmother of many including grandchildren Harry Aurel Jr. Jean-Baptiste and Hillary Beth Jean-Baptiste; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews, including Carol Semexant, Marie Accime, and Joceline Joseph. Dieula also leaves the Remelien and Balan families to mourn her passing.

All are welcome to calling hours Fri., October 6th from 9-11 a.m., followed by an 11 a.m. funeral service at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton. Burial to follow at Melrose Cemetery, 88 N. Pearl St., Brockton.
