Dianne (Politano) Lynch, 78, of Avon, passed away on June 16, 2026. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late John and Josephine (Labate) Politano. Dianne worked at The First National Bank of Boston for over 40 years until her retirement. A devout Catholic, she was a longtime communicant of St. Michael Church in Avon.
Dianne was the wife of the late Edward T. Lynch; beloved sister of Joseph “Joey” Politano and his late wife Joan of Revere, Carol (Politano) Herrera and her late husband John of East Boston, Norma Politano of Brockton, and the late John R. Politano and his late wife Geraldine, and Gerald Politano; stepmother of Donna Lynch-Butler and her husband Ed, and the late Edward T. Lynch Jr.; grandmother of Elizabeth, Allyson, Ryan, and George; and a loving and adored aunt of several nieces and nephews. Dianne was also a great-aunt and great-great aunt of many. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
All are welcome to calling hours on Monday, June 29th from 4-7 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, her funeral from Waitt Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 30th at 9 a.m., funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Church, 87 North Main St., Avon. Burial to follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Avon.
