Dennis J. Irish

Dennis J. Irish, 84, of Brockton, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2024. Born and raised in Rumford, Maine, he was the son of the late Horace and Lillian (Falardeau) Irish. Over the years, Dennis resided in Rutland, Vermont, before relocating to Massachusetts where he lived in Boston, Randolph, and most recently in Brockton. He leaves family and friends who loved him dearly.

Dennis was a 1958 graduate of Stephens High School in Rumford, Maine. After high school, he earned a Bachelor of Arts from Boston College, before graduating from the master’s program at Northeastern University. Dennis was a devoted educator for many years before his retirement from Shore Educational Collaborative, servicing the Chelsea, Medford, Malden, and Revere areas. His life was enriched by working with children with various disabilities, working in a setting that allowed his students to reach their full potential and thrive. He was an avid reader and enjoyed watching movies and sports.

Following cremation, all are welcome to his memorial gathering on Monday, September 30th from 4-7 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton.
