David A. Anderson, 79, a lifelong resident of Avon, passed away peacefully August 7, 2024. He was a son of the late Clarence and Winnifred Anderson and he served honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1966 to 1968. Known as “Andy” or “Bubba”, he worked as a welder in machine shops for many years. He enjoyed fishing, motorcycle trips, and family gatherings. David was the beloved husband of Jeanne M. (Peloquin) Anderson; loving father of Kelli Nashawaty of Cary, NC and Derek S. Anderson of Avon; dear grandfather of Paul D. and Dylan T. Nashawaty; close brother of Eugene Anderson and his wife Sheila of Avon; brother-in-law of Leo Peloquin and his wife Judy and Robert Peloquin and his wife Judy; and an uncle of several nieces and nephews. All are welcome to calling hours Saturday August 10 from 3 to 5 p.m. with his funeral prayer service at 5 p.m. Private burial at Avon Cemetery. Those wishing, memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Make-A-Wish Foundation.
