David A. Hewson, 79, of Brockton, passed away on August 25, 2025. Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, son of the late June E. (Allen) and Albert E. Hewson Jr., David was raised on a farm in Vermont, a direct descendent of Revolutionary War hero Ethan Allen. With his rich familial ancestry, he enjoyed being the family historian and genealogist. Throughout his work and discoveries, David was able to donate historical artifacts to museums.
He worked in various fields throughout the years, as a security guard, as a chemical blender for Mobil in Boston, and at United Liquors in Braintree. David was a professional musician, gifted at playing the saxophone and clarinet. He was able to play music throughout the United States, making many friends along the way.
David was the husband of the late Diane L. (Dube) Hewson; and the brother of Helen (Skorupski) Moore of Monson, MA. He leaves many dear friends who will miss him, including close family friend Kayleen A. Newcomb of Brockton.
