Darlene F. (Janes) Smith

Darlene F. (Janes) Smith, 69, a lifelong resident of Brockton, passed away on December 12, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Carol A. (Janes) DeWolfe. Darlene began her career working at the Lutheran Home, then was co-owner and Vice President of Channel 3 Video in Brockton from 1980-1996. She was a devout Christian who loved the Lord and had previously attended Brockton Assembly of God for many years.

Darlene was the beloved wife of Dennis R. Smith for 47 years; loving mother of Carolyn Janes of Brockton and Dennis Smith and his wife Jodi of Brockton; grandmother of Joshua Crocker, Logan Smith, and Keira Smith; sister of Daniel DeWolfe, Paul DeWolfe, and the late Scott DeWolfe; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews. Darlene also leaves aunts, uncles, and cousins, including Lois Janes.

All are welcome to calling hours Tues., Dec. 19th from 9-11 a.m., followed by an 11 a.m. funeral service in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton and burial at Melrose Cemetery, 88 N. Pearl St., Brockton.
