Daniel MacLellan

Daniel MacLellan, 93, of West Bridgewater since 1961, died August 1, 2022. Daniel was raised and educated in Randolph and proudly served as a military police officer in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. A member of Teamsters, he worked for Kemps Transfer & Company in West Bridgewater and Casey & Hayes in South Boston and traveled cross-country as a long-haul truck driver for many years, retiring at the age of 80.

Friendly and outgoing, he loved entertaining family and friends. Daniel could often be found in his garage socializing with neighborhood friends, where he’d have treats for people and pets alike. He enjoyed gardening and was a true Mr. Fixit, preferring to give life to old items rather than buying new ones. He traveled the world with his wife Judith and friends as well as yearly family trips to Maine.

Daniel was the husband of the late Judith E. (Gay) MacLellan for 55 years; beloved father of Daniel MacLellan and his wife Pauline of West Bridgewater, Lisa Wright and her husband Joseph of Norton, and Sandra Sorrenti and her husband David of Bridgewater; loving grandfather of Jeremy and Timothy Wright, Anthony and Natalie Sorrenti, and Neil, Shane, Jake, Seana, and Kelsey MacLellan; dear brother of Marie Little of Randolph, Catherine Parsons of Quincy, Mary Griffin of Chatham, and the late Jack, Ronald, and Helen MacLellan; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews.

All are welcome to calling hours Sun., Aug. 7th from 2-5 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton, his funeral from Waitt Funeral Home Mon., Aug. 8th at 8:45 a.m., funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Church, 103 N. Main St., West Bridgewater and burial at Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to West Bridgewater Council on Aging (for Meals on Wheels), 97 W.
