Cornelius E. "Neil" Sarzen

Neil E. Sarzen, 80, of Brockton, MA, passed away September 9, 2023. He was a native of Westfield, MA. He was the son of the late Edward and Julia (Smith) Sarzen. He was a truck driver for many years, lastly at Garvey Transport. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was a member of the Blue Knights MA Chapter 1.  He was a friend of Bill W. for over 60 years.

Neil was the beloved husband of Nancy E. (Letourneau) Sarzen for 48 years, the father of the late Robert E. Sarzen, loving grandfather of Tylar Sarzen, brother of Gwendolyn Sarzen of Flagler Beach, FL and Fred Belden of Springfield, MA, uncle to nieces and nephews including Tommy Sarzen and Fred’s children: Claire, Debby, Greg and the late Brian. He also was the brother-in law of Shirley Abreu, Deborah Powers and her husband Ed, Susan Berthelette and her husband Bill, Kevin Letourneau and his wife Christine, the late Raymond (Letourneau) Lickel and his surviving husband, Charles Lickel, and more nieces and nephews, Sarah Berthelette and her partner Michael Schillberg, Jason Berthelette and his wife Liz, the late Charlene Letourneau, Michael Perry, Richard Perry and his wife Susan. There also were several great nieces and nephews.

All are welcome to calling hours Saturday, September 23rd from 1-4 p.m.  with a prayer service following at 4 p.m. all at Wiatt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton, MA. Cremation and private committal to be determined at a later date.
