Corinne M. (Emery) Di Bona, 55, of Brockton, passed away Jan. 17, 2024 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born in Brockton, she was a 1986 Cardinal Spellman High School graduate. She was a waitress for many years at Christo’s and Doyle’s Pub.
Corinne was the beloved daughter of Michael and the late Judith (Malone) Emery, shared parenthood with Wayne Di Bona and their three children, beloved mother (Momma) to Dylan Di Bona of Quincy, Isabella Di Bona of Bristol RI and Sophia Cantrell and her husband Michael of Oklahoma, dear grandmother of Kailey Di Bona, Acacia and August Estrella, and River and Koa Cantrell; sister of Holly Butler and her husband Shawn, Patrick Emery and his wife Carin, and the late Michael “Emma” Emery; and a special aunt to several nieces and nephews.
Corinne is welcomed by many angels, her mother Judy, brother Michael, sister in-law Kimberly, and many more friends and family. She recently enjoyed traveling, photography, and exploring spirituality, the moon a dear friend of hers. Color and self-expression were very important to her, and two things she shared through her family as well. She loved to garden and cook, and had the grace and patience to teach her children and grandchildren these skills. Corinne kept her incredible sense of humor, laugh, and her strong voice throughout her entire battle. Corinne was a wonderful empowering woman, her physical presence will be dearly missed but her spiritual presence will be eternal.
All are welcome to her memorial prayer service at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton on Thursday, Jan. 25th at 3 p.m. followed by calling hours from 3:30 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to American Lung Association, your favorite animal charity or the Greene Cancer Center at Signature Healthcare.
