Claire Laetitia Pericles-Laurent, of Brockton, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 35 on October 3, 2021.She was the first-born daughter of Robert P. Laurent and Claire Berenice Pericles. Laetitia was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and moved to Massachusetts in 2001. She was devoted to her faith and was a member of the Church of Abundant Life, Braintree. She was in the last year of her studies at Bridgewater State University, with plans to become a teacher. Laetitia was generous with her time, from volunteering at the Kennedy School to tutoring at the YMCA. Outside of school, Laetitia worked part-time as a receptionist at Good Samaritan Medical Center. Laetitia enjoyed a quiet, simple life and loved long nature walks. She enjoyed reading the bible, drawing, writing, listening to music, especially Soul and Christian music, and declared herself to be Jesus’s sheep. She was humble, respectful, and taught us valuable lessons about love, respect, and happiness. She had a contagious laugh, and nothing could take away her smile. In addition to her parents Robert and Claire, Laetitia leaves her brother Herbert Pericles-Laurent and sister Ramah C. Pericles-Laurent, both of Brockton; nephew Lucien Orion Pericles-Laurent; and the Pericles, Laurent, Gaspard, Monthioux, Theodat, Laine, Telfort, Baker, Saint Justin, St Victor, Mondesir, Jean Philippe, and Seide families to mourn her passing.
