Charmaine E. (Smith) Larsen-Aleks, 78, of Taunton and Mansfield, passed away at home on September 8, 2025. Born in Wausau, Washington, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Inez (Erdmann) Smith. Charmaine was a graduate of the University Wisconsin-Eau Claire in Economics and Accounting and earned her master’s degree in taxation as well as her Juris Doctorate from Denver University School of Law.
Charmaine was the beloved wife of John T. Aleks Jr. for 25 years; loving mother of Jaci Castonguay and the late Juliet Larsen; dear grandmother of Jonathan Turner, Everly Castonguay, and Kennedy Castonguay; sister of the late Georgianna Olson; and an aunt of Kara Turner and Lindsey Korsi.
A celebration of Charmaine’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital or The Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer (Foxboro, MA).
