Charité Serieuse Jean Romeus, 77, of Jacmel, Haiti, passed away on August 31, 2025 at Tufts Medical Center. Born on August 12, 1948, to Elene Eristil and Eriva Beauvais Jean, she devoted her life to faith, family, and love. Later in life, she met her beloved husband, Jean Romeus, and through this union, they were blessed with their eight children: Antonio (deceased), Jean-Luc (Frero), Ruebens, Jean Sany, Eurica, Judith, Linda, and Sabine. Though she did not have the chance to pursue her own education, she worked tirelessly to ensure her children received the opportunities she could not.
Her greatest joy was praising God through song, prayer, and worship, and her heartfelt devotion was an inspiration to all who knew her. Charité cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she lovingly cared for. She also shared a special bond with her daughter Sabine, with whom she lovingly tended a garden planting not only seeds in the soil but memories in the hearts of those around her. She will be remembered for her strength, devotion, and the unconditional love she gave so freely.
All are welcome to her funeral service on Sunday, September 14th at 10 a.m. at Brockton Temple Seventh-day Adventist Church, 235 Court St., Brockton, with viewing in the church beginning at 9 a.m. Burial to follow at Central Cemetery, 327 North St., Randolph.
